God of locked doors ………….
Locked in, locked out …………
Detention centres
Jobs
Homes
Shielding
More than 70 years old
alone
We who have locked our hearts and minds
In anger and hurt
Prejudice
Fear of the other, of being different
Guilt and shame
Confused ignorance
Unconscious privilege
Jesus, come and stand among us
Breathe
Courage
Strength
Clarity
Trust
togetherness
Blessed are those who have not seen and believe
And accompany
You have no body here on earth but ours
To go, to speak, to listen, to drive, to challenge
In detention centres
With food deliveries
On mobile phones
Governments and policies
Keepers of inequality
In zoom meetings to encourage and pray
Because to pray is to
imagine gods future here, now
infuse now, with hope
protest and clamour for justice
be with
resist despair, greed, injustice
believe your kingdom come, your will be done
here, on earth, as in heaven
God of unlocking
Hear our prayer
