Always wanted to run a marathon, in your own time, maybe even in your own neighbourhood? Have a goal to complete one of the London Classics?
This October 4th, Virgin Money will host a virtual London Marathon for the first time, allowing participants to run a 26.2 mile course of their choice, in light of the live event being postponed until October 2021. Participants will have 23 hours 59 seconds to complete 26.2 miles on the 4th October 2002 at their own pace, with the ability to take breaks, slow down or walk, in the most inclusive London Marathon event ever held. Participants will also receive a medal and exclusive New Balance finisher T-shirt for completing The 40th Race.
JRS UK has just three places to support runners who want to run the virtual marathon and raise funds for destitute and detained refugees. Each participant will have a goal of £1,000 which will go towards crucial, emergency services which are still being carried out to ensure all our refugee friends are receiving important practical, legal and emotional advice as the health crisis continues.
